Pelz, Sr.

Albert William Pelz, 81, passed peacefully Friday, May 4, 2018 at University Park Nursing Home. The Fort Wayne native was born to the late August and Eunice (Fornash) Pelz. He was a member of the New Hope Community Church. Albert (Bill) worked for International Harvester for over 20 years. Then he went to Cooper Tire and retired from there after 10 years of service. Albert loved riding his motorcycle and you could always find him doing something in his garage.
Albert is survived by children, Kathy Stewart, Leta Winchester, Marla Bergman, Bill Pelz Jr., and Colby Lancaster; brother, Ronald (Barb) Pelz; grandchildren, Patrick Jr. (Megan), Kevin (Sarah), Katherine "Annie", Amy, Jeanie (Robert), Aaron (Sara), Jonathan (Tina), Marissa, Matthew, Steven, Justin (Heather), Nicole, Aiden, Addison, Audrey and Jonathan; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kiel, Brendan, Celeste, Patrick III, Tristan, Gabriella, Quinn, Ryan, Vincent, Taryn, Austen, Lawrence, Aedan, Alexis, Cierra, Steven, Tyler, Jakob and Jonathan; great great grandchild, Emma.
Albert was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 47 years, Claudia Ruth Pelz, on December 23, 2017; sisters, Betty Switzer and Noreen Noll.
Celebration of Albert's life is from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Ridgebrook Village Mobile Home Park Club House located at 2737 West Washington Center Road.
