Alberta "Bert" Ayers, 80, Ft. Wayne, passed away Wed. Dec. 19, 2007. Bert had worked as a waitress at the Coach Room and Crestview Lounge. She is survived by her daughter Linda Wirges (David), grandson David Wirges II (Kimberly), granddaughter Cherilyn Mooney, and five great-grandchildren. Bert is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar. A funeral service will be at 10:00a.m. Thur., Dec. 27, 2007 at Covington Memorial Home, 8408 Covington Rd, Ft. Wayne with visitation there on Wed from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00p.m. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cancer Services.
