Alvin R. VanDuser, 89, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026. He was born on October 18, 1936, in Aurora, Illinois to the late Alvin B. and Thelma (Bigford) VanDuser.
Alvin worked as a truck driver and retired from Boughton Trucking. Outside of work he enjoyed watching Nascar and working on cars. He spent time rebuilding cars with his friends in Florida, where he loved living before he moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana 10 years ago. Alvin was a good friend to many people, always helping out anyone and everyone. His four tiger cats were a great source of love to him.
Alvin is survived by daughters, Peggy (Milton) Dennis and Susan (Michael) Freeman; son, Ken VanDuser; grandchildren, Hollie Wise, Kenneth (Dee) VanDuser, Timothy (Amy) VanDuser, Samantha (Alex) Piccolo and Jeffrey Ebert; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Jackson Wise, Cassandra and Emma Vanduser, Addison, Lila and Parker Piccolo; great-great-grandchildren, Conner and Rion VanDuser; and sister Florence Van Buskirk.
He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Matthew Dennis; and sisters, Pearl Knisley and Christina Winton.
In keeping with Al's wishes, cremation will take place.
