Arthur C. Frericks, 87, died Wednesday November 19, 2014. Born in Van Wert, Ohio and was a resident of Fort Wayne, Lake Wawasee, Stuart FL, and Fairfax Station, VA. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, 1950 and began his career in the insurance business at Yaste, Zent & Rye, Fort Wayne, until his retirement as President of Frericks Insurancenter. His accomplishments include establishing Knights of Columbus Council #4048, Member of St. Joseph Hospital Board, President of Ft. Wayne Catholic Charities Board, President of Ft. Wayne Serra Club, President Bishop Luers High School Board, President St. Anne''s Retirement Home, Member of St. John The Baptist Parish Council, Member of Board of Education for Ft. Wayne - South Bend Diocese, President Charter Property & Casualty Underwriters, President Associated Risk Managers, University of Notre Dame Ft. Wayne Chapter Man of the Year Award, University of Notre Dame Alumni Association Rev. Louis J. Putz, C.S.C. Award.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Patricia L (Yaste) Frericks, his son Gregory P. Frericks, his daughter Rose Anne M. Ryles, his sisters Carol Frericks and Mary Lucille Scothorn, and his brother Edward J. Frericks.

Survivors include his wife Margaret Nied Frericks of Stuart FL; his sons, Justin D. Frericks of Syracuse IN and Peter J. Frericks of Fort Wayne; his daughter Mary P. Dempsey of Fairfax Station, VA; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Resurrection 11:00 Monday December 1, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 S. Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, where friends may call one hour prior to Mass.
