Barbara Ann Smith, 86, passed peacefully Monday, June 8, 2020.  Born in Fort Wayne on May 4, 1934 to the late Clarence Szink and Elizabeth (Layton) Witte.  Barb had worked for St. Joe Hospital as a nurse's aid.  She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church.

Barb is survived by children, Dave Smith, Gary Smith and Robin Singletary; 7 grandchildren, Shane, Johnathan, Emily, Ashley, Sarah, Brittany and Amber; and 10 great grandchildren, Kaya, Ari, Olivia, Melody, Bailey, Randalynn, Serenity, Elliott, Myla and August "Augie".

Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne R. Smith, on March 7, 1974; and a daughter in law, Sandy Smith.

Funeral Service is noon, Monday, June 15, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior.  She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
