Barbara A. Garvin, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, November 9, 2018 at Lutheran Life Villages.  She was born   August 2, 1935 in New Haven, IN to the late Cletus and Edith Thimlar.  Barb was a manager for Ayr-Way and Target.

Surviving are her children, Kent E. (Deborah) Garvin, daughter, Donna A. Kremke, brother, Melvin E. Thimlar, 7 grandchildren, Nicole, Jessica, Emily, Tracy, Erin, Nathan and Mark and 6 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Isabelle, Samantha, Christian, David, Jillian, Beau, Skyler, Mason and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Zander, Robert, and Paden. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Calvin E. Garvin on March 24, 2018 and 9 siblings, Ted, Melvin, Lee (Billy), Frank, Donald, RD, Robert, June, and Jane (Naomi).

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. wwwcovingtonmemorial.com
