Barbara Elaine Harlan, 78 of Fort Wayne, died at St. Anne Home Monday morning, March 16, 2009. She was born November 21, 1930 in Fort Wayne to Claude and Eva (Gilbert) Holmes. A member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, she was a member of the United Methodist Women, Unbeat-A-Bells Home EC Club, and BZ Chapter of PEO. Survivors include husband Leonard; Mother Eva of Leo; sister Claudia Harnish of Ft. Wayne; son Ron of Churubusco; daughters Laura (Dan) Welklin of Noblesville and Marilyn (Mark) Poffenberger of Paw Paw, MI; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and son Jeff. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Church, 4700 Vance Ave., with visitation one hour prior.
