Barbara J. Momper, 82, passed away, Thursday, September 4, 2014 at home in Burnet, Texas. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the only child of Joseph and Dorothy Kraus. Barbara loved animals and volunteered at the Fort Wayne Children''s Zoo.

Surviving are her children, Timothy M. (Kristine) Momper of Burnet, Texas and Ann E. Lassen of Coppell, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Momper, Adrienna McGee, Christina Lassen and Jacob Lassen; great grandson Michael McGee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis M. Momper.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12305 Arcola Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 4-8 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. She will be laid to rest at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Children''s Zoo.
