Beatrice Armey, 99, of Elgin, IL died Sunday December 9, 2007 at Apostolic Christian Resthaven. She was born in Hartford City, IN and was a resident of Ft. Wayne, IN from 1930 until 1997 when she and her husband Donald moved to IL. Beatrice worked at Ft. Wayne State Hospital for 17 years and was an active member of Sherman Street Church of God, serving as youth leader, Sunday school teacher, and State treasurer for the Women of the Church of God Missions. She is survived by her son James (Marie) Armey, Pinellas Park, FL; daughter, Janet Fortmeyer, Elgin,IL; daughter-in-law Mary Ann (Donald) Armey, Pinellas Park, FL;11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great- grandchildren. Her life will be celebrated in a funeral service to be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Covington Memorial Funeral home, 8408 Covington Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN. Viewing is from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. and funeral at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Matthew Stump (Mt. Carmel, IL) will officiate.
