Bernard R. "Bud" Richardson, 82, of Huntington, died Thursday Aug. 7, 2008 at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Born Oct. 1, 1925 in Fort Wayne, he was a U.S. Army WW II and Korean War Veteran and was a member of V.F.W. Post 2689. He worked for the City of Huntington Water Department and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross working with the disaster recovery teams. He is survived by a brother, Glenn Richardson of Hendersonville, NC; sisters, Mildred Hofmann of North Manchester Peabody Home and Martha Hummer of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his parents, June M. & Vera Richardson; brother, Melvin Richardson; sisters, Lelah Stamper, Alma Steele and Donna Swihart. Funeral service Monday 1 p.m. with calling two hours prior at Evangelical United Methodist Church 1000 Flaxmill Rd. Huntington. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
