Bertha Erma Roberson, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Canterbury Nursing & Rehab. Born in Coesse, Indiana she was the daughter to the late Paul and Sarah (Slater) Thompson. She was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church and had retired from General Electric after 10 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 71 years, Phil Anderson Roberson; son and daughter in law, Raymond and Judy Roberson of Houston, Texas; daughters and sons in law, Peggy and Thomas Metzger and Janis and Alan Neuenschwander both of Fort Wayne and Diane and Kyle Gott of Austin, Texas; brother, David Pomeroy of Auburn, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Roberson, in 2005; and two step sisters, Ruby Bonar and Marie Jacobs.
Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are to the Alzheimer''s Association.
