Bette L. Raypole, 84, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Born in Churubusco, IN to the late Elmer and Nellie Evans. Bette was a wonderful homemaker and loving wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother and was very artistic working with crafts. A former member of the South Wayne United Methodist Church and for several decades a volunteer at Lutheran Hospital. Surviving are sons, David (Sharon) Raypole, Columbia City, IN, Randy (Diane) Raypole, Ft. Wayne, IN, Tim Raypole, Ft. Wayne, IN, 7 grandchildren, Scott (Amanda), Cory, Cody (Anita), Brian (Jill), Travis (Lynnette), Michael and 6 great-grandchildren, Logan, Kobe, Delaney, Cruz, Madison, Carson and Camden. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest in 2005. Also preceded in death are two sisters, Jenny Thompson and Ruby Scott. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 30 minutes prior to service. There is also calling Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred Memorial to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
