Betty J. (Baker) Booher, 96, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Coventry Meadows Assisted Living. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Gary and Norma (Chilcoat) Baker. Betty married Loren Booher and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2014. She worked for Southwest Allen County Schools for 25 years, until her retirement. Betty was a faithful member of Anthony Wayne First Church of God. She enjoyed sewing and reading. Surviving are her daughter, Dianna (John) Scranton; sisters, Juanita Crapser and Beverly Perry; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Betty was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Booher; daughter-in-law, Linda A. Booher; and sister, Alice McClellan. Funeral service will be 11:00am, Monday, December 5, 2022 at Anthony Wayne First Church of God, 6012 S. Bend Drive, Fort Wayne, IN. Visitation from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Coventry Meadows Assisted Living.
