Betty Lou (Morton) Harper, 84, of Fort Wayne passed away Friday, April 1, 2022.  She was born February 12, 1938 in Decatur, Indiana to the late William Boyd and Esther (Kleine) Morton.

Betty was an active member of Eastern Star, Waynedale Lodge, and American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 241, also in Waynedale.  She was an accountant for Pizza Hut for more than 30 years. Betty played basketball when she was in high school and that instilled in her a love of all Indiana basketball teams, high school, college and professional.  When she was younger she could be found bowling with her family in various leagues, and then in later years, she enjoyed visiting casinos.  Betty was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Betty is survived by her children, David L. (Mary) Harper, Jacqueline D. (David) Webb, and Douglas E. (Vera) Harper; grandchildren, Andrew, Justin, Felicia, Sara, Samantha, Angela, and Andrea; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Krista, Kayli, Lilly, Navaeh, Emily, Paislee, Bentlee, Righlee, Leevi, and Samantha; three great great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Counterman; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Laverne Kaufman, Richard Morton, Donald Morton, and infant Thomas Morton.

Family will receive friends Friday, April 8 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804, with service to follow at 12:00pm.
