Betty Lee (Halter) Keesler, 79, of Fort Wayne was called home to the Lord Tuesday, October 19 surrounded by her family.  She was born February 21, 1942 in Fort Wayne to the late John and Nancy (Kinch) Halter.

Betty was the mother of 4 wonderful children.  For a while she was a bus driver, and then went to work for ITT Aerospace, where she retired.  Betty lived for her family, doing her best to care for them.  She loved the holidays and enjoyed having family gatherings throughout the year.  She loved her family and friends deeply and will be greatly missed.

Betty is survived by her children, Sandy (Mark) Callant, Beverly Keesler, Kenny Keesler, and John (Audrey) Keesler; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Kay Bentrup; six nieces; many great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Elsa.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a brother, sister, and a nephew.

Family will receive friends from 4:00pm - 7:00pm Monday, October 25 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN  46804.  Funeral service will be at 11:00am Tuesday, October 26, also at Covington Memorial, with visitation one hour prior.
