Betty C. Mills, age 78, passed away Thursday August 27, 2009 at Ossian Health Care. She was born May 27, 1931 in Ft. Wayne to Eldon A. and Frances E. Engleman Zent and they preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Mills on October 30, 2007.She was a cook and waitress at Orchard Inn for many years. She is survived by her sons, Steven E. (Sara), of PA, David A., of Ft. Wayne, and Robert D.(Lynn) Hines, of Jacksonville, FL, as well as by her daughters, Jackie Frasher, of Columbia City, Pamela Norris, of Ossian, Melody (Donald) Byrd, of Mt. Vernon, IN, and Lori (Fred) Stroughton, of Plymouth, IN; brothers, Walter (Phyllis), of Ft. Wayne, and James(Pam) Zent, of Sunrise, AZ and sisters, Margie (Donald) Dennie, of Ft. Wayne, Ruth Ballinger, of Ft. Wayne, Carolyn Dawson, of Ossian, Donna Dawson, of Ossian, and Juanita Gillenwater, of Ft. Wayne; 12 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Monday August 31, 2009 at 11:00 am at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, with visitation Sunday August 30 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm. Burial will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens.
