Betty Maxine Murphy, died on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, with her family by her side. Betty was a daughter to the late Floyd and Nellie (High) Morr. Betty was married to her late husband, Leo E. Murphy, for more than 60 years. Betty was a graduate of Northside High School and a devoted member of the Waynedale Methodist Church. Betty's most recent career was as a title clerk for O'Daniel Automotive Group, formerly known as Rice Oldsmobile of Fort Wayne.

Betty met her late husband, Leo, at Hobson School when they were just children. Their childhood friendship would grow into a life-long partnership, producing a son, David (Sandy) Murphy; a daughter, Marcia Hoehn; 9 grandchildren, Stacy (Chris) Lamb, Chad Riley, Angie (Chad) Bell, the late Nikki Murphy, Tara (James) Wilhelm, Jason (Diana) Feichter, Jonathan Feichter, Jared Feichter and Justin Feichter; and 19 great grandchildren, Madeline, Brennan, Oliver, Graham, Genevieve, Simon, Morgan, Colin, Avery, Addison, Jordan, Jeanne`, Ellie, Emerson, Daniel, Ashley, Brianne, Blake and Carson.

Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Morr; and her sister, Marcella Meisner.

A Celebration of Betty's Life will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, with calling one hour prior to her serve.

Preferred memorials are to the Waynedale United Methodist Church.
