Betty Christine (Travelbee) Sefcik passed into the loving arms of her husband, Robert and her Lord, the Savior on the 8th of December, 2008 at Markle Health. She was born on the 11 of February, 1928 in Columbia City and married Robert on the 8th of June, 1946. They lived at Tri-Lakes before moving to Ft. Wayne and later to Berne. Betty worked many years as a LPN at St. Joseph Hospital before retiring to travel and just loving life. She is survived by her daughters Carol (Taylor) Zimmerman and Julia (Dan) Walker, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was greeted in death by her beloved Bobby, her parents, John and Amelia (Erdman) Travelbee and all her friends who went before her. "May we always find her grace, her smile and faith in our own lives. Run on the beaches of Heaven- ALWAYS." Funeral service will be 12 noon Thursday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd with calling two hours prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home or Berne Trinity United Methodist Church of Berne.
