Bobbie G. Shatzer, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital. Born on November 15, 1931 in Roanoke, he was the son of the late Ralph and Goldie (Garrison) Shatzer. Bobbie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His working career was spent at General Electric, for 37 years, until his retirement, in 1998.

Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Marie; children, Kathy (Ron) Putman, Bob (Drea) Shatzer, Barry Shatzer, Deb (Ron) Gibson, John (Rhonda) Shatzer, Mariann (Gene) Hicks and Melissa (Daniel) Fogel; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, Urban and Fred Shatzer.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry, Tom and Dean Shatzer; and a granddaughter, Kaylee Hicks.

Funeral Service is 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. Preferred memorials are to Honor Flight or Salvation Army.
