Brian J. Lange, 64, of Fort Wayne, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 24, 2023. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the youngest son of the late Clarence and Barbara Lange. Brian was a local attorney who cared deeply about the environment and the well-being of those he worked with daily. He had a heart for the underdog. Brian's greatest joy came from being a dad to his two children, Shelby (19) and Carson (16). He was their biggest cheerleader and support, going out of his way and doing all he could to make sure they knew how much he loved them. Brian was also "dad" to bonus daughters, Lindsey and Jessica. He loved them both just as if they were his. He was there for them whenever they needed him. Brian always came through for those who needed him. Brian was an avid nature and landscape photographer. He loved the beauty of a waterfall, birds in flight and the artistry of our courthouse. He was an amazing chef and he loved a good glass of wine. Brian will be truly missed by family, friends and colleagues for the the genuine true spirit he showed to everyone. We all recognize that the world is a little less kind now that he is no longer in it. Brian is survived by his brother, Michael (Toni) Lange; sister, Amy (Rich Kenefic) Lange; former wife, Suzanne; and children, Shelby and Carson, Linsey Jefferson and Jessica (Jordan) Hodge. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Friday, May 5, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with eulogy reading at 7:00pm. Also, vigil prayer service following the eulogy reading.
