Carl M. Hoover, 85, of Roanoke, died Sunday Sept. 16, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital. Born Dec. 10, 1921 in Lancaster, he worked at Erie Stone in the maintenance and welding departments. He is survived by his wife, Joan Hoover of Roanoke; son, Jeffrey S. (Michelle) Hoover of Roanoke; daughter, Carla J. (Michael) Mowery of New Haven; two grandsons, Logan S. and Dakota M. Hoover. Funeral service Thursday 11 a.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Calling Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
