Obituary

Carl Harber Jr., 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 20, 1932, in Fort Wayne to Carl Sr. and Mathilda (Hambrock) Harber.

Carl proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked hard throughout his life and especially enjoyed spending time fishing.

He is survived by two sisters, Judy Jett of Jackson, Kentucky, and Pearl Yoss of Fort Wayne; two stepchildren, Evan Evans and Dennis Evans, both of Fort Wayne; and seven step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Fern, and seven siblings, Geraldine Keipper, Mildred Foster, Jeanette Hagan, Roseann Hohenstein, Donald Harber, Mary Louise Leffel and Roger Harber.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, with burial and military honors to follow at Covington Memorial Funeral Home.
