Carol Ann Carey, 82, passed peacefully Thursday, April 30, 2020.  She was born in Fort Wayne, only daughter to the late Jesse E Gernhardt and Mary Emily (Thatcher) Gernhardt.  Carol had worked for Wolf and Dessauer, L.S. Ayres and later in life the Window Garden.  She was a member of The Church of the Brethren

Carol is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Lee Carey; brother, Allan Gernhardt; and several generations of nephews of nieces.

Carol was preceded in death by brothers, Edwin and Arthur Gernhardt and an infant brother, Donald Gernhardt.

There was a private family service.  She was entombed at Covington Memorial Gardens.
