IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Virginia
Andrews Isaacs
April 12, 1943 – March 13, 2024
Carolyn Virginia Andrews Isaacs went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 13, 2024. She was born in Richmond, Virginia, on April 12, 1943 to her young and romantic parents, Carroll Andrews and Virginia Pritchard, who forever linked their names together when
they named her Carolyn Virginia.
She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a nurse, and earned a degree in nursing from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, where she met her husband, Jim, who was an engineering student. Her life's work included being a public health nurse, stay-at-home mom, postpartum nurse, OB/GYN nurse, and a Lamaze instructor. She was passionate about childbirth and helped many women through challenging pregnancies.
Her creative and artistic talents included oil painting, flower arranging, gardening, scrapbooking, card-making, and especially quilting. With a talent for color, she made dozens upon dozens of beautiful quilts, which she gifted to her most cherished loved ones and those in need. She was a woman of deep faith and wanted everyone to know that God loves them. She made cards and notes with decorative paper, stamped "God loves you" with encouraging scripture and would leave them at businesses for people to take. Deeply loved by her family, friends, and community, Carolyn touched the lives of countless people and everyone that she met.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Chisholm Isaacs, Jr., her children, Timothy Isaacs (Elena), Jennifer Takacs (Mark), David Isaacs, April Isaacs, and James Matthew Isaacs, and her grandchildren, Judah Takacs and Anastasia Isaacs.
