Carroll W. "Bill" Mitchell 78 died peacefully in his sleep Sunday March 6, 2011 at the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Born July 14, 1932 to the late Carroll and Isabelle Mitchell he graduated from South Side High School and was an Army Veteran. He was founder and owner operator of Clark & Mitchell Carpet and Antique and Classic Motors. He served as Bank Director of Anthony Wayne Bank, Summit Bank and NBD Bank. He enjoyed golf, hunting, Racing where he had promoted and operated The New Baer Field Raceway. His favorite memory was lunch with Alan Bloom and President Reagan. Surviving are his wife, Beth Mitchell, children, Greg (Debbie) Mitchell, Teresa (Ken) Mabe, Susan (Mike) Maloney, daughter by marriage, Erin Borkenstein, sisters,Peggy (Roy) Macke, Nita Amstutz, brother, Don (Jan) Mitchell, 9 grandchildren, Tony, Shanna, Justin, Brittany, Kylie, Robert, Jon, Stephen and Jimmy, 5 great-grandchildren, Alexander "A.J.", Billy, Mekenzie, Isabella and Sophia. He was preceded in death by a sister Bonnie Amstutz, brother, Buddy Mitchell. Services are 1 p.m. Friday March 11, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 2 hours prior to service. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens and Cemetery.
