Cathy Lynne Wendel, 65 died, Wednesday July 15, 2015. Cathy was born February 23, 1950 to the late Richard E. Wilkinson and Joyce C. Wilkinson-Fultz. She was a Viet Nam Army Veteran and a recipient of the National Service Defense Medal.

Surviving are her children, Jerry Barbour Jr., Carol (Robert) Scarborough, David (Michaelyn) Tackett, Misty (J.T.) Wolfe, 14 grandchildren, Brett, Missy, Elizabeth, Anthony, Riana, Sam, Ian, Stephanie, Jerry III, Carrie, Rhonda, Bradley, Tiffany, Christie, and a host of great-grandchildren, sister, Sandy Bowlby. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Wendel and a grandson Bryan and a brother David.

Services are Monday July 20, 2015 from 11:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. with service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Military services rendered by American Legion Post 241 Waynedale and the United States Army.
