Charles Christian Luther Jr., lovingly known as Chuck, passed away peacefully at home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on July 6, 2024. He was 80 years old. Born on February 19, 1944, in Columbia City, Indiana, Chuck spent most of his life in the Hoosier State. He graduated from Columbia City High School in 1962, then studied at Purdue University. He worked for Navistar/International Trucks for 35 years before retiring in 2007. In his spare time, Chuck loved to golf, fish, and work on racecars. He was a regular fixture at Homestead High School's girls' basketball games.Chuck was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cynthia, and his parents Charles and Ruth. Surviving are his son, Joshua (Miriam) Shideler of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; grandsons, Ayden and Ezekiel; brother Brandon (Pat) Luther of Lakeland, FL; and sisters-in-law Nan (Randy) Castle of Fort Wayne and Julie (Ted) Dinger of Columbus, OH. Funeral service 10:30am, Monday, July 15, 2024 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior the the service. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
