Charles B. Melton, 73, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday October 10, 2006 at Parkview North Hospital. He was born Feb 16, 1933 in Kentucky and was a US Army Korean War veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He retired in 1995 from Perfection Biscuit Co. after 35 years. He is survived by sons, Charles B. (and favorite daughter-in-law Buffy) Melton Jr. and Brian K. Melton; daughters Jane (John) Clark and Cherie Barney, all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Stacey, Andy, Joseph, Jeffrey, Phillip, Charlie, Jonathan & Linnsey. He was loved by many brothers, sisters and family members. Funeral services Saturday at 3:00 p.m. with visitation two hours prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Road. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
