Charles Eugene Ray, 88, passed, Tuesday, September 4, 2018.  Born in Hutchinson, Kansas on October 1, 1929, he was a son to the late, Charles R. Ray and the late Florence "Helen" (Mandeville) Ray.  He was retired from Dana Corporation.  He was a member of Come2Go ministries and attended many other churches as well. He was a member of Wellsprings Older adult program. He was basically, "a jack of all trades".  He loved doing it, and could fix almost anything. His main focus was to get people to accept Christ and get them to go to heaven with him.

He is survived by a daughter, Carol (Eddie) Marshall; son, Michael (Ope) Ray; four siblings, twins siblings, Viola Lahrman and Vernon Ray, Mary Barrand and Don Ray; and many grandchildren; and great-grand children.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Carla Rowald and Wanda Turk; and two brothers, Jerry Freeman and Marion Ray.

Funeral service is 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road , with visitation two hours prior. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
