Charlotte Louise Esters, 84, passed to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 30, 2013 at Covington Manor. Born in Fort Wayne she was the daughter of the late, Leslie and Inez Esters. She was a member of Shepherd of the City Church. She retired from General Electric after 37 years of service and was a member of the G.E. ELEX Club.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Murphy and Inez McCall both of Fort Wayne; brothers, Leslie Esters of Washington, DC and William Smith of Chicago, Ill.; two grandsons, Camell Esters and Stefan McCall; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Byrd; and three sisters, Lois Harris, Dorothy Esters, Minerva Burney.

Funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
