Charyl Diane Alexander, 74, passed away on April 17, 2024. She was born on August 10, 1949 in Fort Wayne, IN, a daughter of the late Bessie Billington Martz and Clifton Martz.

Charyl worked as a seamstress. She was an animal lover, enjoyed bird watching and was an avid Komets fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Alexander and Andrea (Joseph) Smeltzer; granddaughters, Mikaylah and Megan Smeltzer; siblings, Les (Patty) Martz, Brad (Diana) Martz, Donna (Kris) Oler, and Rand (Carla) Martz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Alexander; and brother, Douglas Martz.

Funeral service will take place at 10 am on Friday, April 26, 2024 with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46804.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024 also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Huntington County Humane Society.
