Clara M. Rollins-Nisonger, 86, went home to her Lord Saturday November 28, 2015 at Coventry Meadows where she had been since October 15th due to a fall at Park Place assisted living, She was born April 16, 1929 in Cannelton, IN to the late Allie and Rosella (Bolin) Gilbert. In the last years of Clara''s life Ralph and Peggy Herndon became her main caretaker along with their daughter Rita (Herndon) Papadakis.

Surviving is her daughter, Peggy (Ralph) Herndon, sister, Sara Rollins, daughters- in-law, Alena Rollins, Denise Rollins, Ronda Rollins, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Cleve Rollins and her husband of 43 years Jackson Nisonger in 2009, 3 sons, Gary, Jerry, and Steve Rollins and a sister Doris.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling one hour prior to service. There is also calling Sunday December 6, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer Association.
