Clifford G. Ramer, 83, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Kingston Residence of Fort Wayne. Born in Wabash, IN the WWII Navy Veteran was a member of the American Legion Post 82 and V.F.W. 10006. He worked in Maintenance and as a Custodian for 23 years at the City County Building retiring in 1994. He is survived by his sons, Michael J. (Linda) of Albion, Larry J. (Sandy), Rick L., Christopher A., Steven R., all of Fort Wayne; daughters, Carolyn L. (Dean) Ormiston, Debbie K. (Mike) DeWitt, Kathleen A. Smith, Peggy S. Ramer and Melissa A. (Jay) Vestal all of Fort Wayne; sister, Reba Hensley of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Donna Smith, Scott Davis, Chad Ramer, Craig Ramer, Ashley Ramer, Katelyn Ramer, and great grandsons, Jarod Johnson, Caleb Ray. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katy L. of 51 years in 2000, two brothers, Carl and Chuck Ramer. Son-in-law, Cass Smith. Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to the service. Chaplain Robin LaRue officiating.
