Clifton Fay Briner, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Monday, September 26, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 11, 1929 to the late, Clifton and Ramona Briner. He graduated from Purdue with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. He then went on to work for ITT as a Staff Scientist and IPFW as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He was an active member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Sons of the American Revolution.
He is survived by children, Clifton (Phyllis) Briner Jr., Carol (John) Spencer, Cheryl Briner and Cathy (Jon) Rowe; brother, Clyde (Eleanor) Briner; fourteen grandchildren, Greg, Emily, Mary, Steven, Liz, Will, Holly, Abby, Joe, Stephanie, John, Patrick, Emma and Hannah; eleven great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Savannah, Miles, Reagan, Peyton, Mason, Lincoln Wyatt, Addison, Moriah and McKinley who is almost here.
He was sadly preceded in death by his wife of 58 wonderful years, June Rose Briner, in 2011.

Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. In lieu of flowers memorials are to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or American Cancer Society.
