Clyde V. Auld 81 died Friday at his home in the arms of his wife of 61 years surrounded by his loving family. Born September 6, 1929 to the late Dennie and Hattie Auld. He owned Barnes and Auld Gravel Pit 6 years, Old Fort Aggregate 18 years as an Explosive Expert and Allen Co. Highway Dept. as a heavy equipment operator 25 years. He was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church Arcola. Surviving are wife, Patricia, Ft. Wayne, sons, Jack Auld, Ft. Wayne, Terry (Kimberly) Auld, Ft. Wayne, Curtis (Jayne) Auld, daughters, Susan (Ed) Ambrose, Ft. Wayne, Karen Craig, Ft. Wayne, Cindy Chappell, Churubusco, IN, Debra (Kevin) Noble, Ft. Wayne, sisters, Edith (Merrill) Hackett, Ft. Wayne, Vera Fairchild, Roanoke, IN, Doris (Gene) Bender, Ft. Wayne, Alma (Robert) Fritz, Ft. Wayne, brothers, Earl (Jean) Auld, Ft. Wayne, Gordon (Judy) Auld, Ft. Wayne and Warren (Gloria Weber) Auld, 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson Timothy Kindler, 2 brothers, Charles and James Auld. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church Arcola, 12305 Arcola Rd. Arcola with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling Tuesday 2-4 6-8 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Preferred Memorials to Cancer Services of Allen County or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
