Cora Lou (Hanes) Peters passed away peacefully at 10:03 pm, April 23, 2022.  She went to be with the Lord at the age of  90 years.  Cora was born January 2, 1932 in Fort Wayne Indiana where she resided her entire life.  She graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1950.  Cora is predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, David Peters; and her eldest son, Keith Peters.  She is lovingly remembered by her remaining sons, Tony, Doug, Vern and Phil; and her twin daughters, Christy and Cathy; as well as 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  She was an active member of many churches in Fort Wayne over her lifetime.  As a result of her generous spirit, many people loved her and were blessed by her life.  She was always reaching out to help the sick, hungry, poor and forgotten.  She was a gifted artist and gifted with young children and was an absolute "domestic goddess".  She was generous to a fault and dearly loved by her family.

Visitation is Thursday, April 28 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, with service to follow at 4:00pm.
