Coy Tate
On Sunday May 29, 2022 Coy Tate, loving husband and father of 6 children, passed away at the age of 95.
Coy was born on April 27,1927 in Bono Arkansas to Fred and Ola Tate. He was a WWII veteran and a truck driver for many years. He started his second career in his retirement taking care of the lawns at local golf courses. He took great pride in both jobs, He never met a stranger in life and brought a smile to everyone who knew him.
Coy was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ola Tate, and stepmother Alice, as well as 7 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife Mayon of 72 years, his children Danny,Tony, Connie (Greg) Byrd, Deb (John) Vorndran, Susan, and Sandy, sisters Maxine and Charlene, as well as 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Monday June 6,2022 at 12:00 pm at Covington Memorial Gardens with visitation from 10:00 a.m.to 12 p.m.
