Curtis D. Wittwer, born August 23, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away April 3, 2026, in Spencerville, surrounded by his family at home. Curtis lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and treating others with loyalty, while always doing things his own way.
A proud Vietnam veteran, Curtis served in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he owned and operated Form and Pour Concrete for over 40 years. He specialized in colored and imprinted concrete and was known for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. Curtis was a kind and generous man who helped others freely, believed in earning what you had, and was known by everyone as a genuinely good guy.
Curtis loved the outdoors. He was happiest on his property working in the woods, mowing, moving dirt, hauling logs with his Bobcat, splitting firewood, and stacking them perfectly. He truly enjoyed riding his Harley, heading to the Caribbean for some scuba diving, flying his para plane, skydiving, driving his 1970 Corvette, or just sitting at his beautiful pond.
Curtis had a strong and loving presence, and those who knew him remember his strength, his generosity, and the steady guidance he offered to those around him.
Curtis was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his son, Jeremiah (Christi) Wittwer, and daughter, Melissa (Denver) Miller.
He is also survived by his sisters, Linda (Phil) Bennett and Mary Mylet. Curtis shared a lifelong bond with his sisters, and they remained close throughout their lives. He is also lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Curtis is also survived by his grandchildren, Austin Miller and daughter Amelia; Spencer Miller and son Parker; Aaron (Lara) Dutt; Jessica Dutt; Dillon (Shalyn) Jackson; Jerron Jackson; Sierra Jackson; Shannya Jackson; and Dannya (Shane) Comer; and 18 more beloved great-grandchildren.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mila Wittwer; his brother, George Wittwer; and his significant other, Julie Boldt.
