Cynthia Jo Gardner, a devoted wife and loving mother passed away on April 10, 2026. Born on July 21, 1953, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Cynthia’s life was marked by her strength, independence, and deep faith as a woman of God.
Throughout her life, Cynthia remained a pillar of strength and warmth to those who knew her. She treasured her family above all else, putting their happiness and well-being at the center of her world. Known for her love of music and gardening, she found joy in nurturing both her plants and her relationships. Cynthia especially loved hosting gatherings that kept family traditions alive, creating memories that will be treasured by generations to come.
Cynthia’s greatest source of pride and joy was her son, Jason, and his wife Nikki, along with her beloved grandchildren, Cora, Keegan, and Lucas, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and dedication to family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Sarrazin and Josephine Hibbard, as well as several siblings.
A visitation to honor Cynthia’s life will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, located at 8408 Covington Road in Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be Friday, April 17, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m., also at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Immediately following the funeral, a graveside service will be held at Covington Memorial Gardens.
