Cynthia Marie Phillips, 62, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital. She retired from INODT as a lab tech. Cindy was a member of Northpoint Community Church.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Waine Leroy Phillips, Sr.; her children, Jason Sylvester of Fort Wayne, Misty McDowell of Fremont and Elizabeth Pitre of Fort Wayne; step children, Waine, Jr., Dan (Cindy) Phillips both of Fort Wayne, Jeff (Michelle), Mike (Diane) Phillips both of Florida and Cheryl (John) Blackman of Fort Wayne; mother, Angeline Rose (Perrella) Strahm of Fort Wayne; brothers, Gary (Nanci) Strahm of Fort Wayne, Steve (Rose) Strahm of Payne, Ohio, Doug (Bruce Smelser) and Rob (Cindy) Strahm both of Fort Wayne; sister in law, Sam Strahm of Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Eugene Strahm, Sr.; and brother, Daniel Eugene Strahm, Jr.

Funeral service is 11 a.m., Monday May 2, 2016 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Swank. Calling is also 2-6 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the church or Riley Children''s Hospital.
