Daniel L. Gibson, 89, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Park Place Senior Living. Born in Sturgis, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Ader A. Gibson and Mary Edith Brown. Dan served his country in the Army on tour in France and Germany and was in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. He married his sweetheart and love of his life the late, Wilda L. Gibson, in 1947; she then passed on March 28, 2010. He retired from Memcor in Huntington, after 26 years; and had worked at Magnavox and ITT prior.

He is survived by his sons, Dean (Christine) Gibson of Fort Wayne and Daniel Gibson of Indianapolis; daughter, Brenda (Jim Schrimper) of Columbia City; sister, Lilda Gibson of Arizona; five grandchildren, Cheryl Snyder, Kim Tumbleson, Eric, Connor and Marissa Gibson; three great grandchildren, Brodie, Linsdey and Dylan Tumbleson.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa G. Gibson, in 1961; brother, Lendell Gibson; and sister, Lorene Morse.

Private services are held for the family. Preferred memorial can be made to any Veterans Organization in his honor.
