Daniel Lee McLaughlin, 74, died Friday, April 12, 2019 with the dog Mick at his side.  Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son to the late Richard and Mary Lou McLaughlin.  Together they raised ten children.  In 1983 Donald reunited with Daniel after 23 years.  He proudly served his country in the Army for two tours in the Vietnam War.  Daniel worked at Sturgis Scrap Yard as a scale master.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Sybil McLaughlin; his children, Christopher (Tracy) McLaughlin and Dawn (Tom) McLaughlin; brothers, Donald (Rebecca) Becthold, Stephen McLaughlin and Robert Deck; grandchildren, Steven, Stella, Richard, Christian, Alexis, Tabitha, Clarence and Kayla.

Daniel was also preceded in death by siblings, Mary Lou, James, Everett, Gloria, Richard, Joyce, Rex and Carl.

Memorial Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior.  He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens with military honors.  Preferred memorials are to Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana.
