Daniel L. Weidner, 66 of New Haven passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born July 5, 1958, in Fort Wayne to Gerald Weidner and Helen (Ray) Helm. He later united in marriage to Pamela Miles in 1980. He proudly served in the US Army for 7 years earning medals for his expertise with the M-16 and hand grenades.

Dan was a jack of all trades and could fix anything that ran on gasoline. If he couldn't, it was beyond repair. He was very particular when it came to how things were done. He would help absolutely anyone, had a huge heart, a good sense of humor and liked to have fun! He enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliot race NASCAR, loved fishing, camping, spending time on the lake and being outside. He also really loved his dog, "Buddy Boy Weidner".

Dan is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pam; his 3 sons, Dan (Lisa) Weidner, Jerry (Jessie) Weidner and Jamie (Jan) Miller; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Kay (Don) Mosure, Kathy (Duke) Bischoff, Carol Montgomery (Tom Gettys), Peggy Weidner (Mike Bahnsen) Julia (Ricky) Webb, Laura Olmeda, and John Weidner. Numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Mary Jo Presnell, Kristine "Krissy" Williams and Charles Weidner.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2025, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens following the service with military honors rendered from The United States Army.
