Darlene G. Byall Archer, 91, of Fort Wayne passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her residence.  Darlene was born May 31, 1929 in Fort Wayne a daughter of the late Oscar and Mary (Brenner) Lewis.  She worked for the Wayne Knitting Mill and Peter Eckrich from which she retired.  Diz was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW.  She attended Christ Community Church.  Surviving are her nephews, David E. Byall of Albion; Richard A. (Jeanine) Byall of Columbia City; Steve (Bonnie) Nave of Fort Wayne; and other nephews and nieces; step-daughters, Penny (Bill) Myers; Pam McCarty; and Connie Taylor; step-sons, Terry (Cindy) Archer; and Jerry (Susan) Archer; She was preceded in death by husbands, Fred Byall; and Harry Archer; brothers, Orin Lewis; and Frank Lewis; and sisters, Gertrude Lindlag; Iva Jean Nierman; Lucille Hughes; and Mary Rempert..  Funeral service is 11:00 AM Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with visitation from 10:00 until time of service.  Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.  Memorial donations may be made to Christ Community Church.
