Darlene Kinney, 81, of Ossian Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Darlene was born February 13, 1945, in New Haven, Indiana to the late Bernon and Mildred (Johnston) Ternet.

Darlene graduated from New Haven High School and earned her business degree at International Business College. She married the love of her life in 1968, Kenneth Kinney and had three children together. They were married for 48 years before his passing on May 30, 2016. She worked at Lincoln for over 30 years before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed painting and crocheting, but most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her son, Christopher (Lisa), her son, Aaron, and her daughter, Valerie, as well as three brothers and three sisters, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and three brothers.

Visitation is Friday, April 24, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. A rosary service will begin at 6:30 pm. Funeral services are Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 12:30 pm at the funeral home with an hour visitation prior to the service rom 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Burial will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens.
