David Y. Keim, 93, passed away on Friday, February 29, 2008 at Hospice Home. He graduated from Penn State with a degree in electrical engineering and worked for Sperry Rand where he and a team of engineers developed radar for the WWII effort. An engineering position brought him to Ft. Wayne but eventually he became self employed and worked well into his seventies before retiring. He enjoyed traveling and showing slides of his many trips. He loved gardening and was a member of the garden club. He was dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. David is survived by his children, Donald (Lynne) Keim of Newbury Park, CA, Cynthia Taylor of Rochester, NY, Doug (Cheryl) Keim and Wendy (Joe) Harian of Dublin, OH; 6 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his wife, Winifred "Fritz". Visitation will be on Wed. from 4:00-7:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington RD. Funeral services will be 11:00am on Thurs. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Rd.
