David L. Peters, 82, died Friday October 12, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. David was born April 22, 1930 in Peru, Indiana to the late Joel A. and Ina M. Peters. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for Indiana & Michigan Power for 40 years. He was a member of Avalon Missionary Church and Aboite Missionary Church. David volunteered for many local food banks. Surviving is his wife, Cora Peters, children, Keith (Susan) Peters, Edward (Denise Claire) Peters, Douglas (Dana) Peters, Vernon Peters, Phillip (Tracy) Peters, Catherine (John) Davis, Christine Peters, 12 grandchildren, Alisha, Erika, Andrea, Shad, Zac, Ashley, Ben, Jacob, Brooke, Jasmine, Brett, Jenna and 2 great-grandchildren, Stella and Jolie. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Peters. Service is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday October 16, 2012 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 30 minutes prior to service. There is calling at the funeral home Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
