David Keith Peterson, 75, of Fort Wayne, passed away suddenly at his sister's home in Jamestown, Kentucky on November 27.  He was born September 11, 1946 in Fort Wayne to the late Charles and Cordelia Ann (Buckner) Peterson.

David graduated from Northside High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy during the late 1960's and then spent 20 years in the Air National Guard.  He spent many years working at International Harvester and he ran the North Anthony Car Wash. Prior to his retirement in 2005, he worked at Bill's Auto Repair.  David is married to Cherry (Boyer)and they have been together for almost 37 years, enjoying life.  David was an avid fisherman and could often be found with a fishing pole.  He also enjoyed gardening and muscle cars.  David and Cherry spent their winters in Florida.  Above all, he adored his family and doted over his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

David is survived by his wife, Cherry; daughters, Stephanie (Kevin) Good, and Nicole (Melvin Sours) Crager; grandchildren, Luke (Kayla) Barnhart, Devon (Autumn Worman) Barnhart, Meghan Good, and Brandon Good; great grandchildren, Grayson Barnhart, Ryleigh Barnhart, and Blake Barnhart; siblings, Bonnie, Susan (Ron), Douglas (Zandra), and Lora (Mike); many nieces and nephews; and his best buddy, Bob the Cat.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in passing by his brother, Marvin "Petey"; and grandson, Blake Crager.

Family will receive friends from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 5:00pm - 8:00pm Thursday, December 2 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN  46804.  The funeral will be at 11:00am Friday, December 3, also at Covington Memorial, with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Military honors will take place at the graveside following the service.
