David Allen Reiter, 80, went home to his Lord Saturday Jan. 6, 2018. He was born April 2, 1937 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Sam and Helen Reiter.

David was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Blackhawk Ministries and American Legion Post 47. David retired from Tokheim as a Stock Supervisor and had previously worked at Falstaff 15 years as Night Supervisor and Goodrich Tire.

Surviving is his wife, Virginia Reiter; daughters, Lori Houck, Teresa (Gary) Geiger; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Reece.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home,8408 Covington Rd., with viewing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Viewing also from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to I.U. Pulmonary or Blackhawk Ministries.
