Obituary

David M Vining, 64 of Roanoke, passed away on January 6, 2021 at Parkview Hospital.  Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana he was a son to Paul Vining and Patricia Vining. He married the love of his life,  Carol (Shaw) Vining  on February 18, 1984, she survives. He graduated from Snider High School in Ft Wayne.   He and his wife Carol owned Vining Slaughter Haus for twelve years, and he worked in the family business for over forty years. He was a member of the Sons of the America Legion squadron 160 and the Loyal order of the Moose in Huntington.  He loved being a grandfather. He also loved fishing and working on his 1971 Plymouth Duster, he also enjoyed  the outdoors, especially golfing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Vining, daughter, Susanna (Michael) Hinen, Huntington, IN granddaughter,  Chloe Hinen, sister Paula (Steven) Stinson, brothers, Steven Vining, Tony Vining and  Joseph (Lori) Vining

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter Shannon Vining.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions there will be a private service at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, He will be interred  at Covington Memorial Gardens. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Preferred memorials to St. Jude Childrens Hospital  262 Danny Thomas Way Memphis, TN 38105 or Christ United Methodist Church,  148 W. 3 Rd St. Roanoke, IN 46783
